Patch 3.5 introduced two new resonators, and both landed with an immediate impact on the current meta: Yangyang: Xuanling and Suisui.

Yangyang: Xuanling — the first SP character

Xuanling is a special edition of Yangyang, and the first-ever SP (special) variant to launch in Wuthering Waves. She's a stance-switching, Heavy Attack Havoc main DPS built entirely around the Havoc Bane mechanic, and has quickly become one of the strongest hypercarries the archetype has ever had access to.

Suisui — Yangyang's sister, finally playable

Suisui had only ever appeared in character stories and lore entries before this patch. She's an HP-scaling support, built around state-shifting mechanics, potent team-wide healing, and heavy elemental status amplification — a rare combination that lets her sustain a team while meaningfully boosting its damage output at the same time, rather than forcing a choice between the two roles.

Why it matters

Both additions reinforce the two team archetypes currently defining end-game content: Havoc Bane compositions built around Xuanling, and support-heavy comps that benefit from Suisui's dual healing/amplification kit. Neither replaces the established top picks like Jinhsi, Camellya or Shorekeeper — they add new options on top of an already deep roster, particularly for players already invested in Havoc-focused teams.
